If you are testing this page under Windows XP (or 2000) and do not have the downloadable Limited Trial installed (this Limited Trial specifically requires Windows Vista), then you will need this Configurator tool to create the login and shortcut configuration settings. Simply download and unzip it into any directory in your PATH (i.e.: "c:\windows") and use the Configure button in the ActiveX, as you would in a gadget under Vista.
IMPORTANT: to enable automatic login, you will need one additional setting on your JAS Server - please, contact us for instructions.
Please note, that this same functionality can also be delivered in different other forms if necessary, i.e.: as a standalone executable, etc. Or you can use this ActiveX control directly in your .NET or VB, etc. program as a GUI element.
If your Internet Explorer refuses to install this ActiveX control, you can enable it as follows:
Open IE, go to Tools, then Internet Options menu. Navigate to the "Security" tab:

Click on the "Custom Level" button and confirm that you have "Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" both set to Enable.
After you try to open this sample page again, it will flash the yellow warning bar at the top, above the page, right-click it and ask it to install the control, after which it will prompt you again:

Click "Install", which should install it now. To install this control, you may need to have admin privileges, or you may need to ask your administrator to do this for you.
