Looking for a way to make your JDE users happy again after a forced move to the new WEB interface? This solution is exactly what you need!

We estimate that the average user’s time, wasted on manually looking for, waiting for and opening of JDE reports generated on the batch servers, costs an average employer approximately $500 per user per year. It's also one of the main annoyances for the users.

Total Rapport is a flexible and user-friendly software solution, designed to save all this time by offering an inexpensive and easy-to-implement way to automatically move and open any of these JDE PDF output files from the batch servers onto the WEB or Fat Clients, even those running through TSE/Citrix. This will work much like the old "Print to screen" option, no longer available to the new WEB clients.

The typical workflow is as follows:

   1. A User submits a Batch Job to a Server.
   2. The User continues their work uninterrupted while the Server processes the Job, which may take some time depending on the Server’s workload, queuing, job itslef, etc.
   3. As soon as the Job finishes, the Server automatically sends the file back to the Client Computer of the submitting User and the PDF file is automatically opened for viewing in Adobe Acrobat Reader, as a separate window. Which files are sent back to the user in this way and which are not, is easily configurable (this functionality is installed in JDE as a JDE Printer and the actual operation is just normal Printing, so there are many ways to set this up - without Print Immediate, the users can control this by selecting this printer and requesting a print. With Print Immediate enabled, the jobs that are to be opened, will need to be mapped to this printer and the rest can be mapped to a normal paper printer to be printed or to a dummy printer to be ignored)

The complexity of the underlying communications is entirely hidden from the Users and is only partially exposed to the Administrators to enable them to configure this solution.

This solution supports all current versions of JDE software and the latest versions of Microsoft Windows and Internet Explorer.

Both WEB and Fat Clients are supported, either running locally on each User’s workstation or via Citrix or TSE Servers, as published applications.

Additional capabilities include:

   - Restricting the PDF file size – already implemented;
   - Visual indication of the current User, Environment and Server name, displayed in the title bar of the browser – already implemented;
   - Comprehensive logging of all user activity – feasible for WEB Clients only. In the current implementation, these details are written to a local log file – already implemented, although these logs can be sent to a central Event Log Server (not yet implemented, but is being planned for delivery later, provided there is sufficient interest expressed by the users);
   - Enhanced functionality on the WEB Clients, i.e.: custom dialog boxes, integration with external software, including barcode readers and e-mail clients, sound notification, etc. – not yet implemented, but can be designed and added specifically per customer’s requirements;
   - Remote control of users’ WEB clients: closing IE down remotely, sending users messages, etc. – not yet implemented, but is being planned for delivery later;
   - This list is likely endless – please, inquire about any additional WEB Client functionality you may need. There are very good chances it can be implemented. This relates to any custom Windows programming and interfacing, which is usually only available on the Fat Client, actually created for the WEB clients.

Would you like your Users to have a Total Rapport with your JDE system?

This software has very high ROI: saving a single user about 2-5 minutes, some 5-20 times a day, would translate into savings of about 30-45 minutes per day or even more - for every user, every day. It will, essentially, pay off in a matter of weeks and then continue delivering savings for the rest of the lifespan of your JDE system, noticeably improving the running costs of your system.

The only supported Enterprise (aka "Batch" or "Logic") Server platforms at this stage are 32-bit Windows® or Linux on Intel®, although the Database Server can be running on any other platform supported by Oracle® JDE. Free installation support and, as usual, our 15 day qualified money-back guarantee, will make this purchase practically risk-free. (If your platform is not in this list, but you are interested in this solution and prepared to provide remote access to your system, the chances are we should be able to install and fine-tune this solution for your platform in a matter of days. Such beta-sites would qualify for an additional discount. Such beta-adopter sites must a) be located in Melbourne and b) provide development access to their Development Enterprise Server running the selected platform.)

This solution is licensed per Named OneWorld® / EnterpriseOne® User (this does not need to be every JDE User - you can control, which JDE Users this is available/enabled for, so it would typically be a subset of all JDE Users). The License allocated to a particular JDE User ID is automatically released, when their User ID is deleted or disabled. When all Licenses have been allocated to the licensed number of JDE User ID's, the unlicensed users will simply receive a license violation message, instead of the actual job output file.

The Licenses are sold in 100 User Packs (the smallest number available per purchase is therefore 100 Named JDE Users). All License Packs after the first one are offered with a substantial discount.
